Photo Friday - Immature
This photo was probably taken by my father while his family was still living in the HDB flat at Lengkok Bahru sometime in the 1960's or 70's. My 4th uncle was making sure his good friend felt comfortable at home!

This shot was taken when I was last back in Singapore for vacations in July. My friends from my army days and I were hanging out at the Esplanade. Two more weeks, and I'll be back home again.
New York City is about an hour and 40 min's train ride away from New Haven. The Metro-North line starts from New Haven, and terminates at the Grand Central Station, NY's main station in Manhattan.
Time Square is one of the most popular spots in the world for the year-end countdown.
The Christmas tree and...
the ice-skating rink are regular items at Rockefeller Center every Christmas season.
One of the best things being a graduate student offers is the numerous opportunities to meet other researchers from different parts of the world. Recently, a friend from Tokyo University sent me this photo taken near Sanzenin, Kyoto.
On a rare lazy Sunday morning, I decided to take a short drive up East Rock on the northern part of New Haven.
Mill River that flows along the foot of the hill has one of the favorite walking trails of the residents in the East Rock neighborhood.
The summit of East Rock overlooks the city, and it was a pity the road leading to the peak was closed over the winter weekends. Going as far up as I could, a couple of kids were having loads of fun sledging down the hill.
The Northeast was hit by the snowstorm today, some parts of New Hampshire accumulating as much as 14 inches of snow. This was the view of Temple Street from my laboratory early this morning, as I was getting ready to start off my day.
By early afternoon, the storm had subsided. Science Hill was completely covered in white.
Almost everyday, a few of us will walk along Wall Street as we head towards our favorite lunch spot on Broadway. (Not to be confused with the better-known Wall Street and Broadway about 80 miles down south in NYC.) Today, the sunshine offered some comfort in the bitter-cold afternoon. On the left stands the Sterling Memorial Library, the biggest library on campus. Towards the center, we have the Hall of Graduate Studies, and on the right, the law school building.
This is the street along which the laboratory I work in is located. It is sometimes referred to as the most beautiful street in the US. It is especially pretty in the fall when the trees that lined both sides of Hillhouse turn golden and red.
